Appendix files for the VT 116 Patrick Brook Culvert Assessment Study.

This study analyzed the existing condition of three culverts in Hinesburg; 1) the Patrick Brook Culvert condition across VT 116, located 500 ft north of Commerce Street, 2) a culvert across VT 116 located just north of Buck Hill Road and 3) a culvert located under Buck Hill Road.  Assessments were conducted to determine the bank full width and ordinary high-water-mark of Patrick Brook and other drainage above and below the culvert. This project developed 10% level conceptual plan and cost estimate for each culvert location and provided basic verification of engineering feasibility and structure size based on the Hydraulic and Hydrology (H&H) analysis.

The Chittenden County Regional Planning Commission (CCRPC) and the Town of Hinesburg retained Hoyle, Tanner & Associates, Inc. (Hoyle Tanner) to prepare a Crosswalk Scoping Study to investigate potential pedestrian safety improvements at two locations along the Vermont Route 116 corridor in Hinesburg -- Silver Street intersection with Vermont Route 116 and Mechanicsville Road intersection with Vermont Route 116.

This study evaluates short-, mid-, and long-term options for rehabilitation or replacement of Town Highway Bridge #9 on Hollow Road (TH #5) in Hinesburg, Vermont.

CCRPC updated Hinesburg’s 2017 Housing Needs Assessment by revising demographic and housing stock data, conducting outreach to for-profit and non-profit developers in Hinesburg, and reframing the document around new recommendations to address current and projected housing needs.

This study investigates potential crosswalk improvements at three locations along the Vermont Route 116 corridor in Hinesburg. The purpose of the study was to review two existing crosswalks and evaluate a potential new crosswalk at a third location. The three crosswalk locations include: 1. Mid-block crosswalk near United Church of Hinesburg 2. Mid-block crosswalk near Hinesburg Community School 3. Buck Hill Road intersection.

Increasing public transit use can reduce demand for single occupancy vehicles, lower emissions, improve transportation cost equity, and reduce congestion. Due to the real and perceived costs of using transit, demand for fixed route transit often increases when coupled with workplace parking restrictions (e.g. limits on permits, higher costs, remote parking requiring longer walks or other transfers). In this project, a targeted pilot intervention was conducted to test connecting potential transit users with incentives to increase bus ridership on the Route 116 corridor between Hinesburg and Burlington.

This project was an update to the 2017 evaluation and preferred alternative selection on ways to improve walking and cycling along this 1.7 mile corridor in Hinesburg. For this update the consultant identified how to break the path into segments with cost estimates for each as a way for the Town to seek design/construction funding.

This study developed and identified a recommended alternative for the Richmond Road, North Road, and Texas Hill Road intersection that improves the safety and comfort of the traveling public and nearby residents of Hinesburg.
