The CCRPC staff analyzed the traffic control at two intersections along Woods Hollow Road at Phelps Road and Maple Tree Lane for potential installation of an all-way STOP control. Intersection vehicular, pedestrian and bicycle volume are one of the key criteria of the all-way STOP control warrants.  The all-way STOP control warrants guidelines were analyzed for both intersections and provided recommendations to the Town.  This study is supplemental to the previously completed intersection analysis study in August 2023.

The CCRPC staff evaluated the existing traffic conditions and sight distance concerns at the Covey Road and Old #11 Intersection and provided safety improvement recommendations.

This study evaluated existing traffic conditions, sight distance and safety concerns at the Woods Hollow Rd and Phelps Rd, and Woods Hollow Road and Maple Tree ln intersections and provided short-term low-cost and long-term safety improvement recommendations.

The study evaluated stormwater drainage concerns within the Town Common area of Westford and existing storm drain under VT Route 128 that drains stormwater from the Village Common area to the Browns River.  The area at the existing outlet pipe is eroded and requires relocation due to a redevelopment project on the 1705 Rte 128 property.  This study developed conceptual plans for relocation of the storm drain under Route 128 and possible outlet treatments and stormwater best management practices for improving drainage in the Village Common area.

2011 Review of multi-way stop warrants for the Woods Hollow Road & Phelps Rd. intersection, and Woods Hollow Rd. & Maple Tree Lane. The 2009 MUTCD Multiway Stop criteria are not met.

This study is a joint effort of the Town of Westford, CCMPO, the Town Center Committee, and local residents to examine the feasibility and potential impacts associated with the construction of a new sidewalk along VT 128 in Westford village. The sidewalk would connect the library and the Red Brick Meeting House. This pedestrian connection would serve as appropriate infrastructure to support Goal #4 of the Town Plan, which encourages the Town Center Area to develop as the Town growth center. Furthermore, the sidewalk serves the Town Plan in its effort to make pedestrian access to the buildings surrounding the Town Common safer and easier. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the feasibility of constructing a new sidewalk in Westford village and to provide the Town with the documentation necessary to pursue final design and construction funding through applicable federal, VTrans, and CCMPO funding sources. This study builds on 2004 and 2006 studies by T.J. Boyle and Associates.

The location of this RSAR was on the Milton-Westford Road, from the intersection of Route 128 to the Milton Town line, a total of 1.8 miles. It is rural with rolling hills and curves.

Westford Community study for the enhancement of the Town Common Area, funded by Transportation for Livable Communities (TLC) grant from the Chittenden County Metropolitan Planning Organization (CCMPO).

This study evaluates alternatives for providing pedestrian accommodations along the initial segment of Brookside Road, up to the Westford Elementary School. The Town also requested that this study address potential traffic calming measures to control vehicle speeds along Brookside Road, if this roadway is paved. Additionlly, this study includes alternatives for providing pedestrian accommodations along Cambridge Road, from VT Route 128 to Huntley Road.
