Initially the intersection did not satisfy any signal warrants. Upon further review it was discovered the intersection would satisfy warrants under what is known as the 70% factor which is available at intersections with approach speeds in excess of 40 mph.

Chittenden County Signal Optimization Plan Final Report

Description:
The purpose of this project is to compare the results of field-adjusted optimized signal timing plans with previous plans during AM, PM and Saturday peak periods at twelve intersections along Williston Road and Dorset Street in South Burlington.   The study also provides comparison of performance measures such as average delays, queue lengths and emission impacts from both plans.  A list of short, mid and long-term capital improvement projects is recommended in the study including signal equipment upgrades.

Camels Hump Middle School Middle School ~ Short-Term Design Recommendations

A significant amount of planning was done during the pilot program that outlined several goals and concepts for infrastructure improvements adjacent to the access to the school along Jericho Road. The pilot program developed a plan dated November 2005 that outlined several potential projects that would improve the visibility and significance of the area.
