This plan provides school travel plans for Burlington School District (BSD) campuses with a focused assessment of regional, neighborhood and individual school campus’ travel patterns and access constraints, and recommendations for small and large scale projects that can increase equitable access to public schools for all, regardless of mode of travel.

This study evaluated alternatives for a new bicycle/pedestrian bridge over the Winooski River connecting the cities of Burlington and Winooski. The issues examined for each alternative included permitting feasibility, project design and cost, right-of-way impacts, and utility conflicts. A comprehensive scoping study of the preferred alignment may be warranted depending on the outcome of a 2017/2018 scoping study of the Main Street Bridge over the Winooski River.
