In the 1980’s and 1990’s many of the shared-paths in the vicinity of Shelburne Road in South Burlington, Vermont were built; however Shelburne Road crossings were not built. Subsequent growth along this corridor has heightened the need for improvements to Shelburne Road intersections that would provide these desirable crossings. The purpose of the Shelburne Road / Queen City Park Road Crossing Project is the identification of short term improvements to improve the safety, user friendliness and accessibility of this Shelburne Road crossing for bicyclists and pedestrians and the identification of other crossing locations for future improvements.

Colchester – South Hero Causeway Improvement Project

Alternatives for potential improvements to the old railroad causeway within the limits of the Colchester shoreline to the South Hero shoreline. This historic corridor serves as a visually stunning, recreational haven for bicyclists, runners, pedestrians, anglers, and hunters. Project needs were realised through site visits and Local Concerns Meetings held in both Colchester and South Hero. Some of the aspects discussed within are; infrastructure maintenance, accessibility, and sufficient path width to meet safety needs.
