The Environmental Assessment (EA) identifies, analyzes and discusses the potential environmental, cultural, and socioeconomic effects associated with the construction of the Crescent Connector Project in the Village of Essex Junction, Vermont.

This report summarizes the results of a study of high use truck movement corridors in Chittenden County conducted in 2012 for the Chittenden County Regional Planning Commission (CCRPC). The CCRPC initiated this study to more fully understand trucking activity in the County and enhance its ability to plan more effectively to manage and support this activity. This study examined patterns of truck movement within, to and from, and through Chittenden County using existing data and information as well as interviews with industry stakeholders and municipal officials. The study also summarized qualitative information on roadway locations, intersections and operational issues affecting truck travel in the County.

The primary goal of this study was to evaluate transportation issues and develop short and medium-term improvement strategies to address capacity and safety issues along the Main Street (US 2/7) corridor in Winooski from the Downtown Circulator north to the Colchester Town Line. This report presents a summary of the process, findings, recommendations, and implementation plan for short/low cost and medium-term transportation improvements in the corridor.

This study updates the 2007 Route 15 Sidewalk Study to identify any changes in the project area and to propose enhancements for walking and biking north of Underhill Flats that would contribute to the existing sidewalk network and promote connectivity.

This study summarizes and updates the 2008 Market Study for Burlington, compares the findings with CarShare VT utilization data, examines the 2012 CarShare VT Member Survey, and applies this information to assess the feasibility of locating a car-share pod in Montpelier, Essex Junction and Williston.

A project scoping study for a new interstate off-ramp and an intermodal intercept parking facility at Exit 14 in South Burlington. This location lies at the point of highest daily traffic in Chittenden County and the State.  It has the potential to serve bus transit as well as become a shuttle terminal for downtown Burlington, the University of Vermont, Fletcher Allen Health Care, Champlain College, Burlington International Airport and other South Burlington commercial and retail businesses.

This scoping study re-examined a section of US 7 in Milton that included the adjacent VTrans designated High Crash Location Intersection of Middle Road and Railroad Street and their intersections with US 7.  The purpose was to build on previous studies and achieve consensus on a preferred alternative that will improve safety and accessibility for vehicles, bicycles and pedestrians while providing adequate capacity for future conditions.

The 2012 CCRPC Transportation Survey identifies the public’s opinions on transportation systems details, the relative importance of different transportation investment priorities, and compares results with 2 previous surveys conducted in 2000 and 2006.

The North Williston Road and Mountain View intersection has been identified by Williston as a high priority for improvement to address congestion at peak travel times and safety
