The North Williston Road and Mountain View intersection has been identified by Williston as a high priority for improvement to address congestion at peak travel times and safety

The purpose of the Colchester Avenue Corridor Plan is to expand on past corridor work (Colchester Avenue Task Force and the Burlington Transportation Plan) to identify existing and future transportation system deficiencies for all modes; further develop the future vision and goals for the corridor identified in the Task Force final report; and develop a series of short-term and longer-term strategies that will assist in realizing the corridor vision and goals. The outcome of the study will be a system-wide approach that addresses all transportation issues and balances all modes in the corridor including passenger and commercial vehicle, pedestrian, bicycle, and public transit.

The Town of Colchester, the Chittenden County Metropolitan Planning Organization and the Vermont Agency of Transportation partnered in an effort to develop short and medium term transportation improvements for the US 2/7 corridor at the Exit 16 interchange. The goal of these improvements is to alleviate congestion and improve public safety which will consequently allow this commercial district to fully develop. The purpose of the study is to develop and evaluate design alternatives that increase safety, reduce traffic congestion and support economic growth in the US 2/7 (Roosevelt Highway) corridor at the I-89 Exit 16 area in Colchester. This study follows the 2009 Exit 16 Circulation Study which helped identify corridor issues and develop viable alternatives for improvements that were effective, yet reasonable in terms of impacts and costs. This scoping study further analyzes traffic impacts, explores design alternatives in detail and determines resource impacts for each alternative including detailed cost estimates.

The purpose of the Crescent Connector Scoping Study is to develop and evaluate design alternatives for a new local road (Crescent Connector) connecting VT 2A (Park Street) and VT117 (Maple Street) in the Village of Essex Junction. The Crescent Connector will intersect with VT 117 at Railroad Street thus providing access to VT 15 (Main St) as well. The purpose of the Crescent Connector road is to provide additional connectivity in the Village thereby decreasing traffic volumes at the congested Five Corners intersection. It will also provide opportunities for redevelopment in the area by providing access to currently under-developed parcels.

The Chittenden County Park & Ride/Intercept Facility Plan presents a prioritized list of new Park & Ride and Intercept Facilities; and evaluates and recommends upgrades to existing facilities. It includes an inventory of existing park and ride and intercept facilities, evaluates travel patterns, includes the results of a survey of frequent and infrequent park]and]ride users, presents a vision statement and supporting goals, develops and applies a prioritization process, and presents an implementation plan that identifies costs, timing and next steps.

The objective of the Waterfront South Access Project is to develop alternatives for access and circulation to and within the Waterfront South area with a primary objective of promoting economic development. To facilitate the development of the Waterfront South area, the emphasis in this project is to develop a street network, supported with appropriate municipal and transportation infrastructure that will in turn foster private commercial investment.

The purpose of this study is to investigate traffic circulation, safety and access management issues in the vicinity of VT 2A south of the Five Corners (Park Street) in the Village of Essex Junction. This report presents findings and recommendations for the following focus areas : 1. Park Street between the New England Central Railroad northern crossing and Five Corners. 2. Park Terrace. 3. Right-turn Slip Lane from Main Street to Lincoln Street.

The purpose of this study is to evaluate traffic and circulation issues associated with the construction of a new local road connecting VT-2A (Park Street) and VT-117 (Maple Street). This memorandum includes a traffic assessment, conceptual plans, and estimated costs for the proposed connector road.

The purpose of this memorandum is to reanalyze the Exit 17 Growth Center traffic characteristics under two new scenarios (see the 2006 Exit 17 Growth Center Study). The first new condition involves the study of the impacts of a 6,000 square foot office development in the easternmost zone of the Exit 17 Growth Center in Colchester, VT. This proposed office development is assumed to be occupied by 2010 within the current transportation network.

The US 2 / North Williston Road Intersection Scoping Report was commissioned by the Chittenden County Metropolitan Planning Organization (CCMPO) to determine feasible improvement alternatives which address apparent traffic and safety concerns at this location. This intersection is in a historic district of the Village of Williston.
