Lake Street Pedestrian Streetscape and Stormwater Feasibility Study

Description:
Lake Street in Burlington is a shared use street that connects the City core to the northern waterfront. There are two mid-block pedestrian crossings on this segment. The road is landscaped with street trees and granite blocks. Stormwater runoff sheet flows across the road from east to west. Runoff from nearby properties drains over Lake Street at the driveway intersections. Most of the stormwater sheet flows into small swales or ponds in the nearest low spot. The City with funding from the CCRPC studied possible pedestrian, streetscape and stormwater improvements for Lake Street in the project area.
