The Chittenden County Regional Planning Commission (CCRPC), working with the Village of Essex Junction, the Town of Essex, and Stantec Consulting Services Inc. updated a scoping study completed in 2013 for bicycle and pedestrian improvements to VT Route 15 from Exit 15 to West Street Extension. This update looks more closely at the section between Susie Wilson Road and West Street Extension.

This study investigated existing traffic conditions and addressed residents' concerns regarding vehicular speeds along Chamberlin Lane and Brennan Woods Dr., and recommended necessary traffic calming measures.

This study is a supplemental to the Exit 14 Signal Systems assessment study to investigate traffic operations at the Williston Road and Dorset Street, Dorset and Kennedy Drive intersections.  This study analyzed traffic operations with an alternative lane use by converting one of the two existing westbound left turn lanes on US 2/Williston Rd. into a third through lane and limit use of the far-right westbound lane to traffic destined to the Holiday Inn or the I-89 northbound ramp, and converting the exclusive northbound right turn lane on Dorset Street into a shared through/right turn lane at the Kennedy Drive intersection.

This study evaluated traffic signal equipment  for 13 intersections along US Route 2 and Dorset Street in the vicinity of I-89 Exit 14 in Burlington and South Burlington for compliance with current signal design standards and ability to support new traffic control technologies. The study identified short, medium and long range improvements and developed cost estimates for proposed improvements.

This study focused on evaluation of traffic signal systems for eleven intersections along the Vermont Route 15 corridor in Winooski, Colchester, and Essex for compliance with current signal design standards and for their ability to support new traffic control technologies. Recommended traffic signal infrastructure improvements were identified and prioritized. Cost estimates for these improvements were also provided.

This study is a part of the Exit 14 Area Signal Systems assessment study which focused on the traffic signal infrastructure assessment.  This study focused on evaluating the existing signal timing plans and developed recommended updated signal timing plans for intersections along Dorset Street in South Burlington. The study corridor includes Dorset Street between Williston Road/US 2 and Kennedy Drive.  The recommended signal timing plans were developed considering commuter peak period traffic volume data.

The purpose of this report is to expand the detail and information developed by the previous Mountain View Road Bicycle/Pedestrian Facilities Feasibility Study, dated February 4, 2014. The project area begins just east of the VT Route 2A/Industrial Avenue/Mountain View Road intersection and extends easterly approximately 13,000 feet (2.5 miles) along Mountain View Road to the Mountain View Road/North Williston Road intersection.
