This study focused on evaluating the transportation needs and developing multimodal improvement strategies to accommodate the anticipated growth along the US 7 corridor (Forbes Road to Main Street) in Milton. This corridor has experienced considerable commercial growth in recent years and is expected to see continued development into the future. The Study developed recommendations concerning highway configuration, traffic control, access management, public transit, and pedestrian and bicycle accommodations. Transportation conditions and needs were evaluated from a “Complete Streets” perspective and the study recommends actions to better accommodate all users of the corridor. The final plan identifies improvements that could be implemented in the near-term for relatively low cost, as well as potentially longer-term improvements involving larger-scale physical changes to portions of the corridor.
