Stone Environmental, Inc. (Stone) was contracted by the Chittenden County Regional Planning Commission (CCRPC) to develop water quality restoration projects with flood mitigation co-benefits for the Town of Huntington (the Town). The Town’s area of concern included the middle Huntington River mainstem, passing through two designated Village Centers, and Texas Hill Brook where it meets the Huntington River. The CCRPC selected fifteen projects for development that were initially recommended in the Huntington River Corridor Plan Update (Barton and Worthley 2009).
