The purpose of the parking study was to assess the key characteristics of parking demand at the Waterfront so that we can accurately estimate future conditions.

This study summarizes alternatives proposed to remove through traffic from the Proctor / Meadow / Hadley Neighborhood located on the east side of US 7 just north of I-189. The neighborhood streets serve as a shortcut between US 7 and Swift Street. Based on a license plate survey conducted by Resource Systems Group (RSG), it was found that approximately 80 to 85% of the traffic in the neighborhood is cut though traffic.

Jericho Center residents are concerned that vehicular speeds through Jericho Center are too great. The Town has installed road signage and orange, pedestrian drums at cross walks in an effort to reduce speeds. At the request of the Town, CCMPO conducted speed counts on Browns Trace Road as it approaches and passes through the village of Jericho Center. This report presents the results of those speed counts.

CCMPO engaged a team of consultants led by R.L. Banks & Associates, Inc., (RLBA) to assist CCMPO in determining the feasibility of passenger rail service in the Burlington-Essex corridor, assuming it operates as an extension of the Charlotte-Burlington passenger rail project. This report describes the analysis accomplished, as well as the conclusions and recommendations of the consultant.

In order to maintain a competitive position, BIA must continue to offer an adequate parking supply. At the same time, the airport must respond to environmental and traffic concerns and offer economic development opportunities where possible. The Chittenden County Metropolitan Planning Organization (CCMPO) was requested by the Airport and the City of Burlington to perform a study of airport parking issues and to develop a range of alternative concepts for future accessibility to the airport.

The CCTA Systems Plan and Operational Analysis is intended to redesign the transit system and the Transit Funding Alternatives Analysis explored the alternative funding mechanisms to generate the funds to support the new design. This report summarizes both the systems plan and funding alternatives. These projects explored a vision of what services CCTA would need to operate to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.

This fact sheet responds to a January 1999 request by the Chittenden County Metropolitan Planning Organization (CCMPO) Board of Directors for information on the history of Chittenden County Circumferential Highway (CCCH) planning efforts. The CCMPO Board requested this information to help it better understand the nature and context of planning work conducted to date in the CCCH project development process.

The Vermont Agency of Transportation is providing this report to ensure that the best information available has been compiled and analyzed to provide a solid foundation for the discussion on commercial vehicle size. The Truck Network Analysis and the CVEST Final Report are intended to provide a framework for development of the Vermont commercial vehicle policy.

A 1993 study by Hamlin Engineers identified twenty potential locations for new Park and Ride lots in Chittenden County, which also identified the need to update the County’s existing Park and Ride lots. Specific sites were identified within the Circumferential Highway corridor in Essex and Colchester as well as general locations throughout the County. The purpose of this interim report is to prioritize these twenty-two locations for use by the Vermont Agency of Transportation and as a first step in developing an action plan for Chittenden County.
