Description:
This study summarizes alternatives proposed to remove through traffic from the Proctor / Meadow / Hadley Neighborhood located on the east side of US 7 just north of I-189. The neighborhood streets serve as a shortcut between US 7 and Swift Street. Based on a license plate survey conducted by Resource Systems Group (RSG), it was found that approximately 80 to 85% of the traffic in the neighborhood is cut though traffic.

Jericho Center Speed Study

Jericho Center residents are concerned that vehicular speeds through Jericho Center are too great. The Town has installed road signage and orange, pedestrian drums at cross walks in an effort to reduce speeds. At the request of the Town, CCMPO conducted speed counts on Browns Trace Road as it approaches and passes through the village of Jericho Center. This report presents the results of those speed counts.

Chittenden County Park and Ride Lots Prioritization: Interim Report

A 1993 study by Hamlin Engineers identified twenty potential locations for new Park and Ride lots in Chittenden County, which also identified the need to update the County’s existing Park and Ride lots. Specific sites were identified within the Circumferential Highway corridor in Essex and Colchester as well as general locations throughout the County. The purpose of this interim report is to prioritize these twenty-two locations for use by the Vermont Agency of Transportation and as a first step in developing an action plan for Chittenden County.
