Personal Vehicle Sharing, or Peer-to-Peer Carsharing (P2P), is a new transportation option that is gaining momentum both within traditional carsharing markets (i.e. dense urban environments) as well as testing the boundaries of suburban and rural carsharing. This report considers recent advancements in the industry and provides a synopsis of the potential benefits and drawbacks of P2P adoption nationally and within Chittenden County.
