The Regional Transportation Options Plan, also known as a Transportation Demand Management (TDM) Plan, serves as a guiding framework for Chittenden County to enhance transit services, strengthen bicycle and pedestrian infrastructure, and introduce and expand effective shared mobility solutions. These objectives are critical to reducing the region’s high reliance on single-occupancy vehicles (SOVs), curbing vehicle miles traveled (VMT), and meeting sustainability, equity, housing, and climate-related goals of the region. The Regional TDM Plan includes recommended actions, lead and partner entities, and proposed timeline for implementation.
