The Town of Milton’s Active Transportation Plan (ATP) is a comprehensive plan detailing the vision, goals, and strategic recommendations designed to advance active transportation across Milton. The vision and goals helped to establish a framework for reviewing and integrating previously identified projects and initiatives with newly defined projects and initiatives to recommend and prioritize for implementation within this plan. The overarching goal of the ATP is to create a blueprint for establishing, expanding, and enhancing active transportation in Milton.

The Patchen Road Scoping Study examined the Patchen Road corridor from Williston Road to the City of South Burlington / City of Burlington city line. The Study sought to identify alternatives to improve safety, accessibility, and connectivity for users of all ages and abilities.

Pearl Street (Vermont Route 15 ), between Susie Wilson Road and West Street Extension in the City of Essex Junction, is a high-volume car-oriented corridor with no dedicated accommodation for bicycles and no eastbound public transit facilities. Recent improvements have been made to bicycle and pedestrian facilities at both ends of this corridor. Improvements to this 2300-foot-long segment of VT 15 will link these facilities and create a continuous multi-modal transportation corridor from Lime Kiln Road in Colchester to downtown Essex Junction. This is a supplemental scoping study to update the 2018 VT Route 15 Bicycle/Pedestrian Scoping Study.

The goal of the Williston Multi-Modal Scoping Study was to build upon the previous 2014 study to identify a design alternative that will improve the pedestrian and cyclist connectivity in the project area to meet the current and future needs of Williston residents.

The East and West Villages Project is an examination of the potential for future growth and development and multimodal transportation in Charlotte’s villages, informed by prior planning efforts and community input.

The Chittenden County Regional Planning Commission (CCRPC) and the City of Burlington retained Hoyle, Tanner & Associates, Inc. (Hoyle Tanner) to prepare this Sidewalk Scoping Study to investigate the potential of providing 5’ wide concrete sidewalks along three sections of residential streets in the New North End neighborhood. These street sections include: 1. Stanbury Road from Staniford Road to Brierwood Lane (0.19 miles) 2. Cottage Grove from Grey Meadow Drive to North Avenue (0.39 miles) 3. Green Acres Drive from Cottage Grove to North Avenue (0.35 miles)

The Northern Waterfront Connections Study was conducted to identify and evaluate conceptual alternatives for a new pedestrian connection between the downtown core and the northern waterfront. The study team included the Chittenden County Regional Planning Commission (CCRPC), the City of Burlington Community & Economic Development Office (CEDO), Burlington Office of Planning, and the Burlington Department of Public Works (DPW).
