This study evaluated the existing traffic speed and roadway conditions along the Old Creamery Road corridor between VT Route 2A and Oak Hill Road in Williston.  Vehicular speeds have been identified as a safety concern for the area, and a study of the roadway is needed to help address the concerns and reduce the impacts of speeding.  An online survey was conducted to solicit feedback from the community about safety concerns and desired features along Old Creamery Road. This study provided three concept phased improvements for speed reduction along Old Creamery Road. Each concept phase was developed from the five speed reduction treatment types identified under the rural roadway toolbox.

This study evaluated current traveling speeds and travel conditions on Main Road between Carse Road and Weaver Road in Hanksville, Huntington.  This study developed recommended traffic calming measures to enhance safer travel conditions for all road users within the study area.

This study investigated safety concerns and traffic calming along Browns Trace between Plains Road and Barber Farms Road through the Jericho Center and provided potential traffic calming measure recommendations.

The Town of Richmond is interested in installing temporary speed humps on the western end of Cochran Rd as part of their traffic calming efforts. This memo provides recommendations on the location of speed humps based on field observation, roadway conditions, and professional guidance manuals.

Alternatives were developed, evaluated, vetted through public forums and supported by the Town.  This study identified and provided an overview of the preferred alternatives inclusive of preliminary cost estimates, conceptual level designs and next steps for implementation.

The purpose of this study was to develop a Traffic Calming Policy manual that assists the City of Winooski to develop and implement traffic calming procedures and measures for existing streets.  The purpose of traffic calming is to support the livability and vitality of residential and commercial areas through improvements for safety, mobility and comfort.

The Chittenden County Regional Planning Commission (CCRPC) and the Town of Williston initiated this scoping study to analyze and evaluate alternatives to address residents’ concerns about speeding, cut-through traffic, and desire to improve multimodal safety on Maple Road.
