The Town of Shelburne obtained transportation planning assistance from the Chittenden County Regional Planning Commission (CCRPC) to complete a scoping process for alternatives to improve the area around the intersection of US Route 7 / Harbor Road / Falls Road. Stantec Consulting Services Inc. was contracted by the CCRPC to develop this scoping report. The scoping process includes working with a project committee, soliciting public input, establishing the project purpose and needs, evaluating alternatives, and seeking endorsement of a preferred alternative.

Weaver Street over New England Central Railroad ~ Structural Assessment

The purpose of this investigation was to conduct a structural assessment of the existing bridge, summarize its condition and determine appropriate repair options. On site assessment included sounding the soffit of the concrete arch as well as obtaining concrete cores for laboratory testing. Alternatives presented in this report are potential solutions for addressing concerns about the structural degradation of the existing arch bridge.

Huntington Main Road Pavement Evaluation Study

Essex Junction Crescent Connector Road ~ Final Scoping Report

The purpose of the Crescent Connector Scoping Study is to develop and evaluate design alternatives for a new local road (Crescent Connector) connecting VT 2A (Park Street) and VT117 (Maple Street) in the Village of Essex Junction. The Crescent Connector will intersect with VT 117 at Railroad Street thus providing access to VT 15 (Main St) as well. The purpose of the Crescent Connector road is to provide additional connectivity in the Village thereby decreasing traffic volumes at the congested Five Corners intersection. It will also provide opportunities for redevelopment in the area by providing access to currently under-developed parcels.
