The I-89 Exit 14 Scoping Study evaluated improvements to the Exit 14 interchange area in South Burlington. The interchange area includes four signalized intersections along US 2 Williston Road between Staples Plaza to the west and Dorset Street to the east. The study builds on the preliminary interchange evaluation conducted as part of the I-89 2050 Study. The purpose of the scoping study was to refine previously identified alternatives; investigate other options to address safety, connectivity, and other multimodal issues in the study area; and to engage stakeholders and the public in a process to identify locally preferred alternatives for future improvements.

This report contains an intersection scoping study of US 2 and Clay Point Road in Colchester, VT. The Appendices can be found in a separate entry and contain one of the first applications of the VTrans Intersection Control Evaluation process. The project was overseen by an Advisory Group consisting of representatives from CCRPC, Town of Colchester, Northwest RPC, and VTrans.

The CCRPC staff analyzed the traffic control at two intersections along Woods Hollow Road at Phelps Road and Maple Tree Lane for potential installation of an all-way STOP control. Intersection vehicular, pedestrian and bicycle volume are one of the key criteria of the all-way STOP control warrants.  The all-way STOP control warrants guidelines were analyzed for both intersections and provided recommendations to the Town.  This study is supplemental to the previously completed intersection analysis study in August 2023.

The CCRPC Staff evaluated the existing travel conditions, safety conditions, limited sight distance concerns and traffic control at the easternmost intersection of Texas Hill Rd and Texas Hill Circle and provided intersection safety improvements.

This memorandum captures the findings of a safety audit of Fay's Corner in Richmond, and outlines possible improvements for consideration.

The CCRPC staff evaluated the existing traffic conditions and sight distance concerns at the Covey Road and Old #11 Intersection and provided safety improvement recommendations.

The intersection of Marshall Avenue and South Brownell Road in the Town of Williston has a traffic signal system showing substantial wear, with a controller and cabinet from a previous generation, non-ADA- compliant pedestrian facilities, poor pavement conditions, and inadequate stormwater management. The Town of Williston, in partnership with the Chittenden County Regional Planning Commission (CCRPC), conducted an intersection scoping study to develop and evaluate alternatives to improve various modes of transportation and enhance the intersection to better serve the community.

The Battery Street Scoping Study was conducted by VHB and the Chittenden County Regional Planning Commission (CCRPC) in coordination with the City of Burlington Department of Public Works (City). The primary objective of the study was to identify and prioritize improvements along the Battery Street corridor to better and more safely accommodate all roadway users. Key goals included, improving safety and accessibility for all users and strengthening connections to adjacent parks and businesses. To achieve these goals, the project team conducted a thorough review of existing conditions, solicited and incorporated public and stakeholder input, performed a comprehensive alternatives analysis, and ultimately developed a preferred concept plan.
