CCRPC has developed this Safety Action Plan to advance roadway safety across Chittenden County through a data-driven evaluation of crash patterns, transportation conditions, and opportunities for improvements.  This Action plan was prepared following the Vision Zero principles and the Safe System Approach with the member municipalities and regional partners input and feedback.

The PlanBTV Safety Action Plan was built on the previous 2017 PlanBTV Walk Bike plan reinvigorating the City of Burlington's commitment to safer streets by pledging action in a Safe Systems Approach and  Vision Zero philosophy marching towards eliminating transportation related deaths and serious injuries for all road users.  The primary goal of the Safety Action Plan is to identify strategies, countermeasures, and actions that align with the State's "Toward Zero Deaths" ethos, particularly for pedestrians and bicyclists.
