At the request of the Town of Colchester, CCRPC conducted three traffic counts in the vicinity of River Road & Red Oak Drive, at the location of a crash incident which occurred during August of 2011

2011 Review of multi-way stop warrants for the Woods Hollow Road & Phelps Rd. intersection, and Woods Hollow Rd. & Maple Tree Lane. The 2009 MUTCD Multiway Stop criteria are not met.

The Town of Shelburne requested the Chittenden County Metropolitan Planning Organization’s (CCMPO) assistance in reviewing and analyzing the crash history at the US 7 /Marsett Road/Bostwick Road intersection. The Shelburne Police have seen an increase in the number of crashes over the past year and would like to determine possible causes and mitigation strategies.

Commissioned for the Vermont State legislature, the purpose of this report was to evaluate regulation of cellphone use while driving.

This study was undertaken at the request of the Town of Huntington in order to evaluate existing and potential speed transition zones buffering the town’s three villages along Main Road. The appendices contain 3 distinct Speed Limit Engineering Studies for different locations along Main Road.

The CCMPO has reviewed the intersection sight distances at the Van Sicklen Road intersection with VT Route 116. The intersection sight distance on the southeast corner was obstructed and therefore inadequate while the northeast corner was found to be adequate. This memo identifies which objects are obstructing the intersection sight distance on the southeast corner of the VT116/Van Sicklen Road intersection and should consequently be removed.

The US 2 / North Williston Road Intersection Scoping Report was commissioned by the Chittenden County Metropolitan Planning Organization (CCMPO) to determine feasible improvement alternatives which address apparent traffic and safety concerns at this location. This intersection is in a historic district of the Village of Williston.

This project proposed to develop a plan to significantly reduce the use of private vehicles for transportation by students at Chittenden Valley Union High School (CVU). The original concepts to be explored included: 1. Bicycling to a bus stop and leaving bike in a rack. 2. Improving the connecting roads to CVU. 3. Installing bike racks on buses. In the course of working on the project, several additional concepts were developed.

CCMPO received a technical assistance request from the Town of Colchester in January 2008 to examine bicycle and pedestrian issues in the Biscayne Heights neighborhood.

The purpose of the Jericho Elementary Pedestrian Circulation Study site improvements is to address bicycle and pedestrian safety issues, to enhance the walking and bicycling environment to encourage those modes, and to circulate all modes of traffic efficiently.
