Objectives of this study was to; 1. Assess the nature of the "Parking Problem" in the Village Center area and determine the demand for parking, 2. To inventory the actual supply of parking in the area, 3. To develop recommendations for overcoming any parking deficits and remedy other facets of the "Parking Problem".

This report describes the structure and development of the Chittenden County Regional Travel Demand Model. The objective of the model development effort was to produce a planning tool which could be used to consistently evaluate the regional transportation effects of a range of roadway improvement and development projects. The effort consisted of the design and administration of a resident survey questionnaire, collection of land use data for the entire Chittenden County region, compilation of data describing the regional roadway network, estimation of mathematical equations to describe travel behavior of residents, and implementation of the model into a commercial transportation planning computer package; TMODLE2.

The conclusions and recommendations reached in this plan draw on an inventory of existing and proposed bicycle facilties focussing on the nine MPO communities (Burlington, Colchester, Essex, Essex Junction, Milton, Shelburne, South Burlington, Williston and Winooski).
